About Us
Āhuru Mōwai Trust is here to help families who have children with extra and special needs by creating safe spaces and places where they can find support, take a breath and exhale.
The purpose of the Āhuru Mōwai Trust is to establish specifically designed environments (sheltered havens) that enrich the lives of families with children who have intellectual behavioural and/or physical disabilities. Places where they find acceptance, respite and support for the whole family.
WHAT OUR FAMILIES SAY
Amazing, inclusive, understanding and wonderful people! They provide sensory sessions for my autistic children as well as support and socializing for myself with other parents of children with disabilities. I would definitely recommend them.

James loves going to Awesome Bounce, you can tell he has a lot of fun there with his carer. Leisure activities are very limited for James so him being able to get out one night during the week is really great. He always sleeps well after a bouncing session 🙂

Thank you for providing these opportunities for our neurodiverse children and the families too! Having safe and welcoming spaces to socialize and play is important for our well- being. (Parents and siblings included!) Cost is always an issue for my large family, and having these low cost sessions available really take the pressure off financially, as well as, the idea that we may need to 'bail out' quickly at any given evening! Look forward to 2023.
